On Friday, Alex and Andrew decided to drive down to the Bungle Bungles for a couple of nights, to see the 'beehive' structures for themselves and to go on a helicopter ride.  We decided to have another night's bush camping in one of El Questro's private campsites, bordering the Pentecost River, a really beautiful spot.

First we headed into Wyndham to get some supplies, and visit the local crocodile farm.  Words cannot be found to describe the guy running the place:  outback Aussie through and through, swearing and cursing the whole time.  He was not the biggest fan of his crocodiles, calling must of them evil bu***rs, some of them had attacked humans and had been removed from their territorial homes to live out their days at the farm.  Some of the largest ones, up to 6.5m long and properly scary, didn't even have breeding partners as they kept eating any females that were put in their pens.

Back to El Questro to set up camp......what a disaster.  It all just seemed too hard: the boys weren't that enthusiastic about helping, the firewood we collected was too big, the fire smoked too much: the temperature dropped massively at night so we were all absolutely freezing, and huddled together in our tent for warmth, Benjamin wet through all his bedclothes so had to be changed in the middle of the night etc etc.

By the next morning I had well and truly had enough of camping and decreed that enough was enough.  I have now officially done my bit and do not want to tent-camp anymore!  From now on I don't care where we stay as long as there is a bed.

So, on that note, goodbye Gibb River road, hello Kununurra and relative civilisation.
