Babysitter again on Tuesday. This time we abandoned poor old Benji and took the 2 older boys to their dingy sailing lessons and then snuck a few hours on the Bondi beach playing in the waves while mummy snoozed in the sun - enjoying not chasing an 11 month old up and down the beach.
We took everyone out in the evening to a restaurant just along the wharf for some great chinese which the kids loved, tucking in to salt and pepper squid, wontons and barbecued chicken and rice along with rather novel interpretation of how to use chop sticks.
Matt and Katerina were due to arrive late on Wednesday morning so I took the boys off to the botanical gardens for more in our on going series of "Jedi Training". Zach, being somewhat frustrated they only made 6 Star Wars films, has scripted a short seventh Star Wars film and is insisting it be acted out by most of the family in the Botanical Garden - a trailer of which i will try and upload at some point.
Matt and Katerina arrived looking on fine form and insisted the whole family plus Adrian make use of the nice weather and head to a great fish restaurant just along the wharf, good food and wine, superb company, Benji slept and the kids were either super well behaved or terrorising innocent pedestrians on the wharf with their scooters.
Wednesday was to be the "big night out" and a bit of an Exeter reunion with Lucy and Nick, Adrian and Danielle, Ed Harrison, Phil Kingham, Matt Knightly, Sarah (without Nick - still suffering with a bad neck) and absent G and Skye who had just had their first baby - Artie - late the night before. Another very sociable evening, and again more drinking than Katherine and I have become used to in Notgrove.
