With Christmas over we set about the last of the packing. Getting the house ready for Michael McIntyre who is renting the house for a year (which the village finds very funny), last minute planning and goodbyes ensured that the last few days were very full! Benjamin has decided to adjust his sleeping pattern to one of  - not sleeping - so packing late into the night with a baby in one arm made things a little more interesting and sure made us worry about taking a one year old around the world.

A lovely drink with Notgrove friends the night before - a great way to say good bye.

8am Wednesday December 29th, the taxi arrived and finally we are off.  Or almost, the taxi got stuck in the snow and I had to dig it out with a shovel, not the stress free start we had imagined.
