Ok, sorry it's been a little while coming guys, but heres my last journal entry for China.
After a thoroughly enjoyable time in Lhasa I took an eventful flight to Shanghai. The flight took longer than expected because of delays, but thankfully, due to the frantic efforts of the airport staff I managed to make it onto my connecting flight, helping me avoid an unexpected overnight stay in Chengdu.
Arriving in Shanghai in the evening was something really special, all lit up like a toy town. It took about 45 minutes to get into town by bus and I was lucky enough to sit next to an air hostess who happily pointed out the main sights.
After almost 2 months of continuous travel and sight seeing it was kind of nice to know that I had almost a week of pure, unadulterated fun and partying in front of me without having to see ant temples, historic buildings or country parks. And by my thinking clubbing is a great way to pre-empt jet lag since in the UK i'll be heading to bed at about 6am China time and getting up at 2 pm in the afternoon!
So, a quick run down of my last few days in China
Thursday afternoon - A stroll along the bund and shooping. Boat trip down the river
Thursday night - Drinks at the hostel
Friday day - Shopping
Friday night - Sea food and clubbing with Phillipe (guy I met a Hua Shan, Xi'an) and a bunch of Austrian expats. Lived it up big time, Champagne all the way!
Saturday day - Shopping
Saturday night - Chill out and drinks with Claire and Tamsin on roof of hostel
Sunday - Shopping
Sunday night - Windows Too, a cheesy student bar
Monday - Shopping
Monday night - Zapatas, a cool bar with hot chicks who walk along the bar and poor Tequila in your mouth once an hour. After that closed I went onto Windows Too.
So.... pretty much just shopping and drinking. A pretty cool last few days to finish off my Chinese adventure!

Ok, just tried uploading some photos but there seems to be a few problems so you may have to wait a little bit longer for them. Sorry folks!
