We head off down the street with no particular destination in mind. It is a beautful morning, with a clear blue sky, a light yet cold wind that reminds us that 'winter is coming'...( and not meant as a Game of Thrones reference...).
As the CN Tower dominates the skyline, we move towards same. We see the Air Canada Centre which is where Bon Jovi is currently playing. When we get back we'll go and see him at Boondall.
Next to this is the aquarium. There must be something going on as the line to go in is around the block
The waterfront area is quite nice and obviously they are trying to revitalise same. We stumble on the Roundhouse Park which has a number of restored locomotives and is a historical site. It has a fully restored turntable to turn trains around, way back in the day. It was amazing to see such nice public open space with lots of things to do, which will obviously serve the residents. It should become quite a focal point when the apartment buildings are completed. It looks like there will be thousands if the number of high rise buildings are any indication.
We had a late lunch at Gretzkys spors bar and watched...oh...we just ate lunch...for awhile...lol! Buffalo wings, pork ribs and a delicious salad...with a chocolate stonemill cookie..which had ice cream and chocolate drizzled over it..
Dinner is at the hamburger place again after the lunch extravagance.
Driving to Niagara Falls tomorrow. We are on the home straight now as we head back towards the US.
Oh...about squirrels..they are still cute. We started noticing black ones since arriving in Toronto. Did you know that they leave tracks in snow that often look like exclamation marks (!!).
