I ate a quick breakfast at the hotel and then waited around in the lobby. I thought there was supposed to be someone leading a group to the Kennedy Center. When it seemed nobody was coming I caught a shuttle to the Kennedy Center. It turns out, I had misunderstood what was supposed to happen.  They wanted people to organize their own groups for the walk.

There was more food in The Hive. I snacked a little on that until it was time for the first session at 8:30am. I was able to get a seat in the Opera House today. When I've watched individual talks they have no context but it turns out each session has a theme and there is quite a bit of talking between the main speakers.

Each session is around one and a half to two hours. There were two sessions in the morning with a long break in between. This was followed by a buffet lunch held upstairs in the Kennedy Center. There were two more session in the afternoon.ending at 7:30.

Dinner tonight was at the National Air and Space Museum. I made a brief stop at my hotel to drop off some things and then caught a shuttle to the museum. Unfortunately, they started dinner before I got there so I missed the first course.

It's nice to get to tour the museum after hours. It's been several years since I was there and there were a number of new exhibits, such as SpaceShipOne, the winner of the Ansari X Prize for a non-government organization making two successful space flights with the same spacecraft within two weeks.

When the dinner was over at 11:00 I caught a shuttle back to the hotel. It was a long day.
