  • Went to Omizutori Matsuri at Nigatsu-do (Nara, Japan)
  • Saw Peace Memorial Park (Hiroshima, Japan)
  • Saw a kabuki theater performance at Shinbashi-enbujo Theater (Tokyo, Japan)
  • Saw Kokyo (Imperial Palace) (Tokyo, Japan)
  • Scrambled across the Shibuya Crossing (Tokyo, Japan)
  • Stayed in a capsule hotel (Tokyo, Japan)
Compared to my recent trips this is a relatively short list but at eleven weeks, the trip was shorter than my drives around the U.S. have been and many of the things I did - seeing the aurora borealis, skiing, the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival and the Sapporo Snow Festival - took a week or more.  Japan has a lot to offer and the roughly a month I spent sightseeing there wasn't long enough to even see a majority of the highlights.  I hope to make it back again soon.
