Burning Man tickets went on sale today at noon PST. I had to get up before 5:00am in order to get in the queue for tickets. I finally reached the front of the queue around 6:30. It was too late to go back to bed so I started getting ready.
The weather this morning looked less like the great weather yesterday morning and more like the snow and clouds that moved in in the afternoon. I've gotten spoiled going to Keystone for the spring skiing the last few years where the weather is often great. I've heard that at Niseko days like yesterday are rare and days like today are the norm. I guess you have to expect snow and clouds when it snows about 600 inches a year.
I skied until around 3:30 before catching a shuttle back to my hotel. I got in around 7,000 vertical meters, about the same as yesterday.
When I went out for dinner I found that nearly every restaurant was full since it's Valentine's Day. I had to do some hunting to find a place where I could get a seat tonight. I've managed not to fall down walking around in the ice and snow at the Harbin and Sapporo Festivals - until tonight. I slipped on a snowy street and fell onto my back. I whacked the back of my head and my glasses flew off and landed a couple feet behind me. Later, when I was leaving a restaurant, I slipped again on a short flight of stairs. I still have a headache.
