I headed down the mountain on the gondola in the morning. I'm not able tor rent skis for multiple days so I have to waste half an hour going down, renting skis and coming back up before I can start skiing, which defeats the purpose at staying somewhere that's ski-in, ski-out.
I didn't have enough cash to pay their exorbitant rental fee until I got more money. There's no currency exchange at the mountain so my only option was an ATM. Unfortunately, the ATM is in the Club Med and I can't go in there wearing ski boots. Since I changed into my ski boots at my hotel and left my shoes at the top of the mountain that was a problem. Eventually, the guy from the hotel who is assigned to assist me dug up a pair of slippers so I was able to take off my boots and go to the ATM. Armed with cash, I was able to get skis.
I met up with a Chinese woman I had met on the gondola yesterday. We skied together. She was tired and we wound up taking a break at the ski lodge where I eat my meals in my hotel. We didn't get a lot of skiing in. We skied down to the bottom at the end of the day to turn in our equipment and I hopped on the gondola to get back to my hotel before it closed at 4:00.
