Where I stayed
In between my class at Front Sight last week and another one next week I spent the weekend in Las Vegas.
After checking out of my hotel on Sunday I went to see the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, which was designed by Frank Gehry. Like most of his recent buildings, it's a pretty wild design with a lot of wavy walls. I like the building but I do have some concerns about how appropriate the building is for people with less than fully functional brains. I can easily imagine it being rather disorienting for them.
I went to the MGM Grand to have dinner with someone I met in Las Vegas last year. We ate at Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak. That might sound like a poor choice for a vegetarian but I had an assorted mushroom dish that was meatless and quite good.
After dinner I' headed back to Pahrump for another class at Front Sight.
