I checked out of my hotel in Mobile, AL and drove to Houston, TX today. I hit some unexpected traffic due to accidents and barely made it in time for my reservation at Reef, which is number 62 on The Daily Meal's 101 Best Restaurants in America list.
Since it was a Friday night, the restaurant was quite crowded. With a name like Reef, I expected it to be a seafood restaurant, and it is. There very few vegetarian options. I wound up ordering a tempura shrimp appetizer and a sweet potato ravioli. They were both good but, based on them, I'm not sure the restaurant deserves the 62nd place designation.
