I went to the last stop of my trip today, the Delaware Capitol or, as they seem to prefer to call it, the Delaware Legislative Hall. It's a symmetrical, brick building with a central tower. The building is in the Colonial Revival style and, while it looks old, the original building was completed in 1933, the north and south wings were added between 1965 and 1970 and two east wings were added in 1994.
The building is relatively plain, as capitols go. I took a tour but I didn't spend as much time as I typically do when I visit a capitol. The Old State House is nearby and is now a museum. I thought about walking over to see it but I was eager to get home, at long last. I wanted to be sure I made it home in time to give out candy for Halloween. Fortunately, traffic wasn't too bad and I made it back with plenty of time to spare. The trip has finally come to an end.
