Well, we summitted Gannett Peak yesterday but our hike is far from over. We still have the 14.5 mile hike back to Cold Springs. We are scheduled to be picked up tomorrow at noon. We hiked a bit past the camp site we used on our first day to shorten our hike tomorrow and set up camp for the night. We've had some trouble with mosquitoes but they were far worse today than they have been any other day. We could see smoke rising from a forest fire but, fortunately, it wasn't upwind from us and didn't appear to be a threat.
