I left Lone Pine and drove to Pahrump, NV. The drive took me through Death Valley National Park so I took the opportunity to stop and do a little sightseeing and stopped at the Devil's Golf Course, Badwater Basin and Dante's View. It was brutally hot at the Devil's Golf Course and Badwater Basin so I didn't wander around for too long. The thermometer in my car said 108F (42C) but it felt much hotter in the sun. Dante's View is on the hill overlooking Badwater Basin and at 84F (29C) was considerably more comfortable.
I finished the drive to Pahrump and checked into my hotel.
