I didn't get to my hotel until late last night and I was up late updating my blog so, as a result, I got a very late start today. I decided it would probably be a good day to go see a friend of mine who lives in Oakland. He's a furniture maker. it's been two years since I've seen him and I was curious what he's been making lately. I gave him a call . He wasn't too busy and he invited me over. I drove over to Oakland and spent a few hours catching up and checking out his new work. I then drove back to my hotel and tried to get to bed early so I could get an early start tomorrow.
