On Friday, 10/15/10, I drove to Feasterville, PA to attend my 40th high school reunion.  Some of the people attending the reunion were attending a Pennsbury football game Friday evening.  Many of the rest met in the bar of the hotel where the reunion was held and we were joined later by some of the people who had attended the game.  Attendance was lighter than I had hoped but I was still able to catch up with some of my classmates.

On Saturday, 10/16/10, the reunion committee, which included me, had a brunch at a local restaurant.  It was the first time the entire committee had gotten together and the first time I had seen any of them in person during the planning of the event.

We had arranged to be let into the old high school on Saturday for a self-guided tour, which was only attended by 15 or 20 people.  It was interesting to see the place after 40 years.  There were a few changes noticeable, but, in general, it hasn't changed much.

Saturday night we had the main event at the Radisson Trevose Hotel.  It was attended by roughly 120 of my classmates out of our graduating class of nearly 1,000.  The event lasted for 4 1/2 hours, which isn't nearly enough time to catch up with everyone.  I could have used more time but the hotel threw us out pretty promptly and nearly everyone quickly went home.

On Sunday, 10/17/10, we had a brunch at the hotel.  It was only attended by about 25 people but with no loud music it was a much better atmosphere for talking to people than the Saturday night event had been.

I've gone to all of my class's reunions and always enjoy them.  I just wish more people would come to them.  Very few of the people I was friends with in high school come to them.

After the brunch I headed home.  This trip is finally over.
