I headed out of Fort Nelson and continued south. When I first started it was cold and raining fairly hard but the weather improved as the day went on. There didn't seem to be a lot of interest along this stretch of the ALCAN.
I eventually reached Dawson Creek, BC, the Mile 0 point of the ALCAN. It was still early enough that I wanted to do some more driving but towns are few and far between up here so I couldn't just drive until I was tired and expect to find a place to stay. It was still early when I reached Grande Prairie but I'm not aware of any significant cities between here and Edmonton, the next major city I'll hit, so I decided to stay there for the night.
I still have 27 hours 8 minutes and 1,720 miles to go to reach Telluride. In other words, after four days of driving I'm not quite half way there.
