Wednesday, 5/26/10, I started on my drive to Alaska. I didn't hit the road as early as I would have liked. Tuesday evening I noticed my refrigerator wasn't cooling properly so Wednesday morning I had to locate a Maytag repair service that could do the repair quickly. After the repair was finished I loaded up the car and finally got moving around 6pm.

My previous trips were made in a Honda Odyssey minivan. I got used to being able to take lots of stuff with me. Unfortunately, my new car, a Toyota 4Runner SUV, isn't nearly as large. I kept a cot in the back of my minivan, which made it easy to crawl in the back and sleep, but I couldn't manage to get it to fit in the back of the SUV. Now if I stop for a nap I'll have to sleep in the seat.

I got to Macedonia sometime after 2am. Tomorrow I intend to go to Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
