The alarm rings at 6:30am. For those of you that know me well, thats not very funny in my book as I love my sleep!. Adding to the fact that I had Gandhi's flip flop and a few of his friends flip flops in my mouth symbolises that this was perhaps, the worst nights sleep in Levitan history!!

Surprisingly enough, I woke up rather rapidly when I started to shower and remembered that I was going to Koh Pi Pi for the day! :o) I won't bore you with commentary of the entire day, take a look at the photo's!. What I will say is that the Island is very beautiful (how's that?)

The snorkeling was terrific!. It took me a few minutes to decide whether or not I wanted to do it. I laughed to myself when the deciding factor for me was to see this fat bloke who must have weighed in at 350lbs, eagerly snatch a snorkel out of the box!! I thought "if that fat f&ck can do it, so can I" !! .

I must have spent about 20 minutes with my face just under the sea water looking at amazingly coloured fish! I did have a few breathing panic attacks but that soon went when I started to use the snorkel.

The captain drove us to Koh Pi Pi don Island for our buffet lunch. The restaurant already had the food on the table when we arrived, with a few fly's to greet us on our sweet and sour chicken! (nice). Tucking into my rice, veg and chicken I looked round the table and it was weird to see so many people from different countries at the table. Weird in the sense it was good, it put a smile on my face. During lunch we got chatting to a guy called Ian - he's travelling on his own and joined us for a drink and a brisk walk around the beach after lunch. We got onto the conversation of boxing and we then agreed to go and see some Thai Boxing in Patong later that evening.

We got back to the hotel at around 5:30pm after a very hot and sweaty bus ride home from the port. A 20 minute ride north in a tuk tuk (mini cab) and we arrived in Patong to meet Ian. We walked through a couple of streets and then I see it - the boxing ring!, yes!!! (I love boxing btw). The boxing ring looked a bit battered which was a sign I was in for some good entertainment!. The boxing ring was adjacent to a row of restaurants so you can literally tuck into some noodles whilst watching a few fights (quality)

After dinner we moved up to ringside :o) - ding ding!! 2 blokes walked out that are no bigger than me, then proceed to knock the living crap out of each other!!!. I mean these guys do not pussy foot around one bit. You can feel every punch, see them soak up the pain as the 14lbs gloves and hard shins proceed to wallop the poor opponent. I took some great video footage that I will try and upload here.

The fighters aren't managed by Don King....so after each fight, they come down to the punters and basically ask for money whilst they shake your hand. Now they do very nicely out of that, coz you aren't gonna argue with a guy who has just punched and kicked the living daylights out of someone are you ! So yes, my wallet felt al little lighter after 45 minutes of thai boxing, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definatley go and see more in the future.

We proceed to a few bars and ended up in an Irish pub which was a great change of scene and atmosphere! :o). The live band sounded great and the place was packed full of people from everywhere except.....thailand! :o). About an hour has passed and 3 rounds have been purchased and swallowed and I utter those immortal words "lets play a drinking game!". I always play the same one, its called "a ship came into the harbor, carrying a cargo full of...." and you say a letter, then you go round the table and you each person has to say a different word beginning with that letter, quite simple really!! - but not simple enough for Olivia!!.

A few games of pool in another pub and Olivia murmurs to me "cliff, my feet are swollen like yours!" now what is it with all this swollen feet lark!!?? - if anyone has any answers to why we both seem to be suffering from swollen feet, let us know!!!

So we had a terrific day and a terrific night! - now go and see the photo's!
