This is going to be a crap night...we are on the train from Berlin to Krakow. We wanted to reserve a sleeper cabin but they had none left. A couchette is one step down from that but they had none left of those either. So, we are going to be sitting up all the way to Krakow. Graham is trying to remain positive.

Our time in Paris ended with a second helping of amazing steak while sitting next to a Molly dog called Doushka who was dining with her French owner. Imagine Joey at a steak restaurant! Michael and Graham climbed the Eiffel Tower while Chloe and I ate crepes smothered in chocolate and cream. I fell down the stairs at our hotel that morning and hurt my back so I didn't climb and the line for the lift up is ridiculous. We had prebooked tickets to Musee d'Orsay and jumped the line to see some art by Van Gogh, Manet, Monet, Rodin and my new favourite, Degas. It's in a really beautiful old train station which is worth a look in itself.

Our 2 nights in Berlin were wunderbar! We started our time here by finding a bar in which to watch the state of origin game. Chloe and I went for a trip to make some train reservations, eat some bratwurst and buy some cherries. Fun fact - it cost 50 euro cents to have your cherries washed. We then headed to the Brandenburg Gate where we were enticed to jump on one of those 6 seater bikes for a tour around the area. My butt is sore today... We then went and had a quick look at the Holocaust Memorial and Potsdamer Platz where we ate some weiner schnitzel and apple strudel. Michael, much to Ham's amusement, also sampled some raspberry beer, through a straw. Given we'd peddled, well...Michael and G-Dog had peddled, around the city for an hour, we were buggered. We refueled at Prater, a very cool beer garden, with beer and goulash - 2nd best meal of the trip so far. A much needed sleep in the next morning gave us the energy to visit the East Side Gallery AND the Beate Uhse Erotic Museum. Beate was the first female pilot in Germany and the only German woman allowed to fly in WWII. She pioneered the sex shop industry and had a pretty amazing life overall. Now, we are on the train bound for Krakow, destined for a sleepless night and coffee fueled day tomorrow.
