Reluctant to leave the wonderful Magic Castle Hotel in LA, but need to get on our road trip again, driving up the Californian coast road. Stopped once for a Subway on the four hour drive, admiring the beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and stopped off for the night at Pismo Beach in a grand motel with a pool right on the beach. After settling in we went to a nearby shopping outlet centre to buy boyfriend stuff and stock up on Levi's and $5 Van's, then on to Rosa's Italian for a swell dinner and early bed.
Breakfast on the fire pit patio, a walk along the beach where everyone had brought their pooches for a stroll (and two girls had brought their hamsters! - All pets welcome!) then back in the car for the drive up to San Fran.
