London, England

From Lisa:

Bridges, Boats, and Bobbies!

What an incredible week -- we walked and walked and walked...and saw so much of this beautiful city. It was a great visit. Deidre joined us and while here, we had the chance to meet up with some wonderful friends from our Pez Maya expedition in Mexico 7 months ago...gee, has it been that long ago already?? Caroline, Layla, and Claire met up with us on Saturday on took us on the Grand Tour! Big Ben, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Convent Gardens, Museum of Natural History, and Little Venice...awesome!

While there we also celebrated Cheryl's first SCUBA diving article being published in Transitions Abroad (http://www.transitionsabroad.com/listings/work/volunteer/articles/volunteer-in-mexico-coral-reefs.shtml). Way to go!

From Cheryl:

London was really quite nice.  It was a bit expensive, but worth the visit to catch up with a few of our GVI Mexico friends!  A few days after Claire, Caroline, and Layla gave us a whirlwind tour of the sites, we met up with Jess and Iain who gave us a great tour of the South side of the Thames..  Well, the intent according to Iain was to just find a nice pub and catch up over a pint, but Jess had other plans!

After several days of walking around the city of London we decided to take in some more sights and found a coach tour to bring us out to Stonehenge, Bath, and Stratford (Shakespeare's home).  It was a LONG day but we saw some beautiful things.

A very special thanks to Chris and Brian who opened up their home to us while visiting with Claire in Hadleigh.

It is great to be back on the road again!  Next stop Cairo!!

Hello
Hey Lisa and Cheryl!! Looks like you are having a blast!! I really like the pictures! I've never been to London, but I think it would be cool to go! Besides that I was able to give Deidre a hard time for leaving me at work by myself! LOL... But nonetheless, hope you are having a blast? I'm sure by now you have the most used passport in the least anount of time! Way to enjoy life!!!!
