Left-hand-drive was worse than expected: shifting, indicators, and handbrake all with your left hand...
First, off to the supermarket. After a lot of careful driving around we finally found it,
bought some food, socks for Wouter and a bathketball set (which didn't work well in the camper).
We headed north along highway 1 and 17 via Orewa, Warkworth, Leigh and visited Pakiri beach (beautiful, thanks to Laura for the tip).
Via Wellsford, Mangawhai Heads, Waipu Cove we ended up at Uretiti Beach where we spent our first night in the campervan.
The DOC campsite had only cold showers, but the weather was warm enough...
