Well guys this is it 3 days and counting, our flight from Birmingham leaves at 6.45am on Tuesday, first stop 3 hours in Frankfurt airport, not terribly exciting but it will give us time to update and change some of our future flights. For those of you who want to know how we're travelling, we bought a round the world air ticket from Trailfinders in Birmingham. It's a Star Alliance ticket which allows us 39,000 travel miles with any airline in the alliance.Flights were pre booked back in June, which can be changed as we travel. Already we want to change some of the dates as we are going to spend our first three months in Sri Lanka.
This past week has been pretty hectic and quite emotional. We saw quite a few of you on Saturday, had a good-bye lunch with Kibblestone Management Team on Sunday (thanks), we moved out of Kibblestone on Tuesday, packed all our furniture and possessions into two of the bedrooms at Aldridge and have been socialising with various of you most nights. I swear we've put on at least half a stone (4 kilo's for those of you in new money)and our trousers are far too tight. Three months in Sri Lanka will soon sort that out.Talking of Sri Lanka again, a big thank you to those of you who have given us money to take to Adopt Sri Lanka the charity we will be working for, we have £170 and will make sure it is well spent.
We've just spent the night with our best friends Gary and Vicky Haden who put on the most sumptuous dinner for us. We had food and drink from around the world, taking in many of the places we'll be visiting, tequila sunrise, wine from Australia and Argentina, nacho's, Indian nibbles, Thai chicken soup, chilli chicken, kiwi desert, chocolate brazils, southern comfort, coffee, birthday cake and Christmas crackers. (Now you see why we are putting on weight!) Thanks, we'll miss you.
Well this is probably enough chat for now, don't want you to get to bored before we've even left the country...........................

Hi Chris and Paul
Hope you landed safe and are settling. It's WED and I have rock deprivation. Can't climb - have a stiff neck-don't laugh. Nepal still looks on. Will contact you again
