So confession time for those who don't know, I am a self confessed travel snob.  Yep that's right I don't do economy and I don't know how people do it.  So when booking the flights to the UK business was way out of the question but premium economy was certainly on the cards, and I have to say it was well worth it.  You get your own little cabin, fancy service, the good pillows and blankets just no flat bed.  We also got rock star service from our two lovely flight attendants, Ginny and Jenny.  Now I really want to believe it is because of my Platinum Frequent Flyer status (that's right I am not afraid to remind you all of it every now and then) but in fact it was because Stafford's mate Jai, who was in fact working on our plane earlier that day, hooked us up with Ginny & Jenny.

So I should back up a bit.  A few days before we ever fly Stafford goes into what we call flight mode.  To describe it all I need to say is that Stafford says very little for the days leading up to it, it is really quite weird because as soon as we land he is back to normal but as I sit here in Dallas typing this I can sense his flight mode sitting next to me as he ponders how he is going to get through the next 9 hours.

Now when I like to travel my goal usually is to see how many movies one can get through and on a long haul flight it can be quite a few.  When traveling with Stafford on the first leg I only managed 1 and 2 half movies.  You see he needs to talk regularly and constantly point out on the interactive map how far we haven't gone and how far we have to go.  But the good news is he did sleep, unaided apart from several red wines and we made it to Dallas without any major issue.

Fingers crossed the next leg is as uneventful and that I get my husband back quick smart.
