travelling across country to palmdale took us through some fantastic scenery and at times you could have been forgiven for thinking you were on part of the moon with unbeleivable rock formations. The weather was very hot and felt like riding in a sauna, the roads and towns along the way were amazing, like stepping back in time. We decided by chance to take the slow route to Palmdale after Cuyama this took us unknowingly onto the old 138 and some fantastic roads, wow this was really amazing with tight curves and bends that went up and up and up and then down and down and down and gave us fantastic views over the local valley/plains, absolutely breathtaking, we all agreed we were lucky to have found this route. after an hour on this road we decided to switch back to the fastest route to Palmdale and get back on track as greg had arranged to meet up with relatives in the evening, relatives he had not seen for 17 years. once arragements were confirmed we met up and went to BJ's for food.
