Todays Author Greg

Everyone was up early for a proposed early start (8-9) due to the heat of the previous day. All was well until Roger tried to start his bike and the engine failed to turn over, we then tried to bump start it but to no avail. A quick scurrying around the internet luckily found a Harley dealer in town, we gave them a ring and after a short while they arrived with a pickup and trailer to haul the bike to the dealership with Roger, we followed on a little later. Well to say the least the dealer "Doyles of Eugene" was a most impressive setup, loads of bikes , leisurewear etc. After an initial period of waiting they set about repairing the bike an after an hour or so handed it back to us all fixed with a new starter motor, Our thanks go to Dolyes  for their support  in helping us along our way.

After the delayed start we set off down I5 towards Grants Pass passing some great scenery along the way we turned off onto the 199 to pass through some really amazing views passing through the Redwood highway on our way to the coast, a truly spectacular ride. Once in Crescent city we turned south on 101 to complete the final section of the ride down to Artcarta.

The weather hmm extreme to extreme starting off hot around  100 deg in places down to 60 deg at the coast it felt bloody cold as we acclimatised ourselves  to the searing heat of the previous day.

Anyway, all for now and say a big hi to Tracey on her anniversary.
