Been in Texas for about 100 miles now. So far everything looks very dry and dead, and we've mostly seen ranches and Mexican eateries. Woman in petrol station quizzed us about where we were going (cos we sound funny) and promptly told us to 'be careful' at the state fair. Have now developed a fear of Dallas too :(
