Happy Days!! I phoned the shop in Wall and they had a fuel
pump in for us. Now came the scary part. We had to drive the van with a dodgey
fuel pump with a history of stalling on inclines 30 to the shop. No big deal
but the road to the smooth and level interstate is 9 miles of twisty, hilly and
non-shouldered road. Albeit a beautiful drive it was a little nerve wracking
along the way. However, the van made it to the shop and I help a really nice
Native American mechanic named Scott to remove the fuel tank, install the pump
and put the tank back into the van. All said and done in 2 ½ hours.

In the meantime Wendi walked over to the world famous Wall
Drug store and did some shopping - she like shopping a lot. She came back to
the shop, collected me and took me back to see this amazing emporium of stores
and galleries. We hung around for an hour or so and bought a beatiful piece of
Sioux pottery.

So, now that the van was running well again and now
dependable (we hope) we headed back to camp along the Badlands Scenic Loop. We
thought that the section of Badlands we were in was beautiful but it was no where as
awesome as the section we drove through on the way back. We met a couple who
had been to the Grand Canyon and said that this site is really neat but the
Grand Canyon is a must see. - An upcoming trip perhaps??? We pulled into and
stopped at neary every lookout along the way. We also hiked a few of the less
difficult trails and enjoyed our surrounding even more. I didn't post anymore photos of the Badlands mainly because you need to see them in person to appreciate their beauty and grandeur.Looks like were on the road tomorrow and stopping in Buffalo, Wyoming. We will be visiting The Devil's Tower along the way and I will be keeping my eyes open for any debris from alien spacecraft. I will post pictures of the tower tomorrow.

See you in Salt Spring
Just booking a flight to Salt Spring for this coming Monday and should arrive late Monday. When you get close give me a call at 250-537-9734. Address is 369 Long Harbour Road. Traveling from Ganges, it's on the right side just before you go up a long hill. Hard to find, but you'll see a group of numbers nailed on a tree at a gravel lane going off towards the ocean (on right hand side). Go to the end of the lane to a wooden slat gate. Pull up tight to the gate and it should open automatically. Cold beer will be waiting!
