Yesterday we phoned Bethel to make arrangement to visit our brothers and sisters in Bethel. They also invited us to stay for lunch which was such a blessing.
We were up early as we had to be there by 10am and we didn't want to miss our opportunity due to Sydney traffic. We arrived with time to spare and as soon as we walked in the brother says Wemm, now are you any relation to Noel Wemm?, and then you how these things go before we knew it there was a connection everywhere we went. What a joy to meet so many of our hard working brothers and sisters giving there best to Jehovah. We met the most delightful couple from Texas who had flown in especially for the day to do the tour. They were large and larger than life. They had been through Gilead many years ago and then spent 3 years in Ecuador. They now serve in a Spanish Cong after leaving their assignment to have their 2 girls who are serving Jehovah faithfully.
We laughed and chatted as we went around and because of too much talking we missed a bit of the tour as lunch was about to start, all in all we had a blast meeting so many new ones.
At one post we had a brother call out thanks for visiting, where are you from? I normally was saying Perth but for some reason decided to say Palmyra, when he said Oh do you know the Lowe's? Well of course we do Kristy and Russell and as it turns out he is Lynn and his wife Sue  are Kristy's aunt and uncle. So at lunch we chatted with them for ages. And Lunch, we had homemade Pasta with bolognese sauce, Greek salad so fresh it was still breathing and bananas. Along with such a wonderful conversation it was the most uplifting meal i have had in a while.

After this perfect morning we drove into Sydney as we had not seen the city as yet. There is a haze that descends over this lovely city and apparently it is there almost all the time now due to the pollution, how sad. Still despite this we enjoyed the view of the Opera house and Harbor Bridge. It is so peaceful to see the ferries weaving back and forth and being Friday afternoon, seeing friends catch up for a drink beneath the Opera house and Bridge back drop, we soaked it all up.
As we were walking around the harbor we noticed people gathering here and there. I spotted Fuzzy ( she hosts some music program) and i think she is on spicks and specks sometimes too??
She was interviewing John Butler and crew. So we took a few snaps and kept walking. A bit further around the quay we saw Hamish and Andy getting ready behind the scenes for show they were doing. It was a BYOP. Yep, only in Australia a bring your own Pool Party. Needless to say there were loads of teeny boppers sitting in kiddy pools of all shapes and sizes. We walked behind the scenes and happened upon Megan Gale chatting to Andy and I said Hey Megan you look Hot! she goes Oh thanks, really sweet and normal. I called out Ham you rock and he goes Cheers with a big grin on his face, he is such a dag!!! We hung around for a few minutes waiting for Megan to kiss some random guy and then we could sell the pics to Woman's Day and then hopefully this holiday thing could go on a bit longer. no such luck so we trundled off.
