We arrived around midday. After a short drive in the taxi and sussing out a few Hotels we managed to find a decent place, nice and central, so checked in, then went for a wonder. With thick old city walls, colonial buildings in pristine condition, deep set cobbled streets full of Art Galleries, high ceiling cafes and funky restaurants probaly makes Colonia one of the quaintest places we have been to so far on our travels. So after aimlessly walking around the cobbled streets for a few hours, we discovered a car rental shop that rents out Golf buggies! Brilliant!!! we then spent an hour or so bombing (or more like bumping) our way around the streets until we felt a little ill from the rough ride so went for a few drinks on the coast looking back over to Argentina. That night we went back to a fish restaurant in the plaza that we had noticed during the day.
