Leaving the Days Inn in Luray was easy....Back to the remaining 80 miles of skyline drive.  Linda's infection was not getting better and she was starting to look like death warmed up....but still wanted to continue on the scenic route -much to the horror of the kids who were tired of the car by now.  Thankfully, the Chrysler Town & Country comes with a DVD player and two screens, so the kids got to watch DVD's while we enjoyed the countryside...
The last 20 miles of skyline drive were hard.  Linda and the younger two were sleeping, Kerrin was reading and I was tired...

By the time we reached Covington West Virgina, we had all had enough of the car, so we started our tour of the town's Inns looking for a place that 1) we could afford, 2) that could accommodate 5, 3) that we were prepared to stay in.  After 4 or 5 places that failed generally on all 3, we drove on to Lewisburg.  Here we found a Marriott Hotel.  A little over our price range but worth every dollar!!!

The indoor pool and spa bath washed the day's driving away very quickly!  The suite was also very spacious - we felt quite spoilt.  So much so we did not rush to leave the next day and checked out  about 5 minutes before we had to at 11:55!!

For supper, the hotel recommended the Italian Restaurant in town called Casa Belle.  We arrived to waiters all in black - including the tie...we were seated and napkins placed in our laps (this was the first hint that we had a problem) they then proceeded to pour each of us a glass of water without being asked (second hint).  When the menu arrived we got the message.....dinner was going to cost us upwards of $200....Linda and I exchanged nervous glances - told the kids to stop ordering and made a hasty exit offering apologies to the staff saying we could not afford to eat there!!  We landed up at Taco Bell with all of us eating for less than the price of a single starter at Casa Belle...shhewww.
