What I did
Made it to my sister's house
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
Left Jacksonville at 7:30, temperature in low 60s and not a cloud to be seen. Took US 1 North to Waycross and then 82 W. Gary almost did his best John Travolta impersonation but managed to dodge the incoming seagull. But other than that, nothing really out of the ordinary to report. It was about a perfect day. We took a slight detour as we approached the Alabama line but we were able to convince each other that it was done intentionally to avoid the traffic in Columbus, GA.
Arrived at my sister's house around 4:30 local time. We have eaten well- the thickest pizza we have ever seen (Amanda, if Moos Moos pizza was this thick, the entire FSU football team could not finish a pie) and brownies with ice cream, chips and beer. We may explode before we make it to the west coast at this rate.
On the road early tomorrow- as soon as we decide how we make it over the ever widening Mississippi River. St Louis and the Arch is a no-go due to flooding.
We'll figure it out. We're making it up as we go along anyway..
Miles today: 441
Total miles trip: 441.

Glad you guys made it safely to your sister's house. Tell her I said "Hi!" since she and I are friends, because if you have ever talked to her, emailed with her, seen her, walked by her, known someone who knows her.. then you are her friend :)
You are correct, Steph. You two are friends by virtue of the 2 minute "dog" conversation you had 5 years ago...
