In search of dry land, we headed to Monteverde, famed for its ¨cloud forest¨, a original growth rain forest that is constantly covered in clouds.  This unfortunately was probably not the place to hope to ¨dry out¨ given the the cloud also hovering over our guesthouse, producing tons more rain!  Oh well, this is what we get for travelling here in the rainy season!    We ended up doing a nice 5k hike through the forest (in the rain) and seeing small birds, unusual flying horned-insects, and the cloud forest´s resident pig, Charley.
