Dear All

We were travelling from El Chalten to Bariloche (2 day bus trip) when the earthquake struck Chile. We are still very far down south in Argentina. The bus ended up stopping in El Bolson (fab hippy town) so we jumped off early as we were planning on coming back this way anyway. We are going to hang around for a while to see what our plan is & might even look at stopping for a while until this settles down a bit. Do not really know the full damage at the minute as have only got news in Spanish. Might not be able to continue on the same route. Might even look into Spanish lessons here. Treated ourselves to a Cabana which we had a little attic room & seperate bathroom, eating area, kitchen & a lovely balcony. Bern & myself had a beer & a bottle of cheap red wine, some Empanadas & did some star spotting. The Cabana was set into the mountain & was like we were the only ones up there. Very cool!!

Once we know what we are doing we will keep everyone updated. Hope everyone is still enjoying our updates. Keep smiling.

glad you guys had great time in fitz roy and had the right weather to see it!

Glad all is well. Had a little panic on sat morning when hearing the news on chile. Not a place to go to at the moment, looks a bit lawless.
