Hi

Woke up about 7.30am and it was great having the freedom to do our own thing after 27 days of tour. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed the tour.

The weather was fine again and we finished our Continental breakfast which was very tasty.

By 9 am we had decided what we were going to do and set off walking through Hyde Park. We got onto one of the Hop On / Hop Off  buses at Marble Arch and also brought tickets to the London Dungeon and Madam Tussaud.

The Bus ride was great and we learnt a lot from the guide. Saw Buckingham Palace, The Guards, National Arts Gallery. The Streets on the Monopoly board, Got a lot of history, Saw Trafalgar Square, many fantastic buildings and London Bridge and then got off the bus and the London Dungeon was near there.

This show if that is what it is was 1.5 hours long and took you through the periods of British History. It also showed the tortures carried out on the unfortunates. the effects of the black plague, the Fire of London, Famous murderers, a boat ride through the ages, and given the experience of feeling what its like to hung.

Jackie and i both thought it was great and then we had lunch at a local pub.

We then went walking towards the Tower Bridge but came across a large concert held in a park in aid of Water for the Africans and there were some 800 singers there. It was really nice but we had to move on and crossed the Tower Bridge. What a fantastic Bridge. We continued along past the Tower of London and eventually got back onto another bus and finished the trip around London. We next got off at Madam Tussuad's and we both loved that. Today the cameras have been clicking so much they may need replacing.

After that we walked home and had a good tea. Guess where - yes the local pub and it was great.

Then we got onto the computer to try and catch up with our diary and mail. Haven't totally succeeded but will get there within the nest 4 days. Its been really great today and we are looking forward to more trips tomorrow.
