Greetings

Had a great nights sleep and after a good breakfast we left our hotel for Innsbruck at about 8.30am. About 20 minutes later w were in Innsbruck (raining at the time) and the tour was taken to a Chrystal Shop. Why i don't know other than maybe the guide was getting kickbacks on what was spent by those on tour but i didn't go in and tried to look at the sights.

This was obviously well planned operation as all the main shops here do not open until 9.30am and with it raining i found it pretty boring which was a shame after what Andrea and Avril told me about the place.

Many of the men also were in the same boat as myself but there was little we could do. Could not even drink our sorrows away as the booze shops were closed at that time.

Unfortunately i think we wasted about 1.5 hours here although to be fair, many of the women bought things. Yes - that included Jackie although the amount spent was small. 18 Euros.

We finally got underway about 9.50am and onto an Autobahn  towards Liechtenstein which is the Worlds 4th smallest Principality. The countryside continues to be beautiful, green, the houses of high standard, the water in the streams very clear and the fields all trim and proper. Strangely enough we didn't see many farm workers.

The weather by this time had cleared and when we entered the capital of Liechtenstein it was a lovely day. One thing about these small Principalities is that seem to be rich, have great structure and discipline within the community with very little unemployment. This was no exception and the area of Vaduz was a delight to have lunch in. Jackie and a couple of the women went shopping and i went for a look around the town.

I had a small Pizza on the run as we only had a hour and i really like the area. Jackie came back with nothing but liked the shops.

After lunch we were off to Lucerne(Luzern)  and en route we had to make a number of stops as one of the tour members was feeling sick. As we weren't too far from our destination it was no problem and we arrived in Central Lucerne about 3.15pm which was great as far as we were concerned. Less time in the coach - more looking at the sights.

Our hotel is called The Hotel Schiller and its one of our best yet. It is in the centre of Lucerne, has a balcony, massive room, great open planned shower and toilet. Plasma TV screen. Others however weren't as lucky for some reason but anyway - we are happy as we have two nights accommodation here. Our last of this tour.
After settling in we went for a long walk, got tea on the run at MacDonald's which was immaculately clean and quick. We walked for hours and got back to the Hotel at 8.30pm where we sat chatting with other tour members for an hour before retiring very tired from our walk.

We did do a little shopping but the shops closed at 6.30pm so that ended that. We walked around to the Lucerne Casino but were not dressed adequately for entry. Anyway we object to paying an entry fee to enter and left it with out our money. Must be one of the first times we haven't lost money at a casino.
