Fi:
After spending time in the chilly Cameron Highlands, we arrived in Kuala Lumpar, which is like an oven. This entry will be very short as we only spent 1/2 a day here. We stayed in a hostel which was called the 'Pudu hostel'. The room that we had was very basic, and we had to used shared toliets/showers. It was convenient as it was just across the road from the bus station.
The shopping is very good here and there is a huge variety. Warren and I had a problem trying to find our shoe sizes. Everyone over here is really petite, so we must of seemed like giants to them. I even had a shop assistant look at me like I had 3 heads when I asked them if they had a size 7 shoe! Another funny thing was when we ordered a sandwich in a coffee shop they gave us a spoon and fork, we were like "ok why do we need this?"
We went to the Petronas Towers, and they are amazing. Apparently they are the tallest buildings in the world. Unfortunately we could not go inside them and take a tour, as we arrived in KL too late in the day. All in all, we got a good impression from Kuala Lumpar. It was clean and the food was good, and if you want to get a foot massage, every second person on the street wants to give you one!
