3rd Dec.

We organized a Taxi with the Hotel to take us back to Rayong bus station at 8 AM. On arrival at the bus station I thought I would ask if there was a bus straight to Hua Hin just on the off chance, as I had read everywhere that you must change buses in Bangkok. Can you believe it there is..... RESULT !! Ah... this is Thailand so I better make sure. So I ask several people and yes there is a bus that goes straight to Hua Hin. This bus leaves at 10 AM. Well its worth the wait to keep out of Bangkok and the hassle of changing buses. So we caught the bus and I settled down with a beaming smile on my face. That beaming smile was totally wiped off my face when two and a half hours later we drove by Bangkok airport !!!! I now had a furious scowl on my face. So far on our travels around South East Asia we have had virtually no problem communicating with the locals.( In other words they speak English)  The one country I thought we would have it easy would be Thailand. Wrong it's the hardest yet.  To be fair they got us on the best bus for changing in Bangkok. But that really is not what I was asking when I said "is there a direct bus to Hua Hin." As it turned out we quickly got a mini bus down to Pranburi where our Villa was.
We where dropped off outside Tesco........yes they get everywhere don't they??!!  We made a phone call to the caretakers and he said we should do some shopping and he would pick us up in 30 minutes. That done we were picked up and taken straight to our villa in a little village outside Pranburi. We had seen the pictures of this villa on the internet and it looked great, but let me tell you it was even better in the flesh and I hope the pictures I have put up do it justice. It was the perfect home from home and some. Full kitchen, large T.V.,ensuite and a pool for good measure. Just what the Doctor ordered.
That night we cooked our first meal in nearly 3 Months and it was fantastic, except the washing up part of course. That afternoon I had dropped off at the house a large Moped that I was renting for the week. 4 a day it cost and was vital as we needed transport to get out of the village. We found a great seafood place on the beach and ate there most evenings. Yes, the novelty of cooking soon wore off. I did however manage the energy to cook a fry up every morning though. So our days were taken up dossing around the pool and eating good seafood on an evening then watching a good movie or two before bed.
On about the 5th day we rode into Hua Hin to get our Thai Visa extended. To cut a long story short, they would only extend our Visa by a week. Warren had not done his homework again. That meant we have to leave Thailand a few days early and our stay in Krabi was off. No big shakes though, we would head down to Penang in Malaysia for new year. The down side was they charged us 80 to extend our stay by one week, the robbers dogs!!!!
Our week came to an end and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the up side was we were coming back after 4 days in Bangkok for another week in another pool villa just around the corner. We were headed up to Bangkok to pick up my very good friend Kev who was staying with us for 3 weeks over Christmas and the New Year.
I have not been able to get hold of the internet for the last weekend a bit. As a result I fined myself behind. Tomorrow we are headed out to an Island for 8 days and I don't know if I can get the internet there !!! I hope so but If not Merry Christmas.
