We transfer to the airport this morning and go through a double security check before boarding our flight to Amman, Jordan. Entry into the country is easy and painless, and we are assisted with visas and our transfer to the hotel. We meet for welcome drinks and introductions, and the expanded group is gelling beautifully.

Dinner tonight is at Books@Cafe – a mixture bookstore and restaurant overlooking the old city and extremely gay-friendly. The menu is café fare, with pizzas and salads and chicken-wings and nachos, etc. We eat mountains of food and even take some leftovers out to give away later on the street.

Needing to walk off our excess caloric intake, we stroll along Al-Rainbow Street to a central square where we enjoy mingling with the locals and listening to classical guitar music. Our Jordan tour is off to a great start!
