An early start this morning to visit the Dingle Peninsula and work our way up the coast to Galway. The weather is dramatically changeable, with periods of sun and rain. The wind is gusty, but we are gutsy! The guidebooks say that the Ring of Dingle is in many ways more spectacular than the Ring of Kerry. It certainly is true for us, simply because we can see everything today, and the views are truly spectacular.

After working our way around the Dingle Peninsula, we take a ferry across the River Shannon into Clare County and on up the coast to visit the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. On through the Burren, around Black Head and into Galway. We're on the road 11 hours, but every one is delightful. Our hotel is on the coast in the beautiful Connemara region. It is a sister property of our Dublin hotel, which we loved, and this one is also spectacular. We are quite a ways outside Galway city, so we enjoy dinner at the hotel tonight.
