Twelve hours -- for those of you who are wondering how long it takes to drive from Chicago to Lexington, Virginia, the answer is 12 hours with just a few pit-stops. Most dramatic parts of the trip thus far were seeing the golden-domed Capitol building in Charleston, West Virginia, and then being thrashed by a driving rain- and thunder-storm while crossing the Appalachian Mountains. We're tucked in for the night, and heading on to Gloucester, VA tomorrow, to settle in for our Lewis Family Reunion. g'nite!
