We did not want to leave San Francisco without a picture of electricity and telephone cables hanging on the streets form one post to the other.

We do not know why in such a modern place they have not put the cables underground. Maybe because of the earthquakes? Around noon we started the route to the South. We went to see the places where our friend John Schmucker did windsurfing when he was living in San Francisco: Pacifica and Montara. The coast is beautiful but the fog appeared again.
At 3:15pm we started the visit to Stanford University. The tour was guided by a student and he has shown us this fantastic campus. It has 16,000 students (only 7% foreigners, 54% boys and 48% girls) and have facilities that make you want to go back to University.
We are now in Carmel. When we arrived it was already dark and we had time to go for a walk us. It is a exclusive tourist destination, lots of good restaurants and brand shops, close to beautiful golf courses etc.. Clint Eastwood was the major of Carmel about 10 years ago, and now, he owns a restaurant here. We had a nice dinner on a terrace with a fireplace and we ate a gigantic cookie for deser! We are about to explode! Yummy!
