Where I stayed

Our time in Thailand is almost up! 30 days will be over and it will be time for us to move onto Malaysia.  We decided to come back to the little town of Krabi before we left because we liked it here so much.  This time around we hung out with many locals.  Sebah took us to his village on the mangrove island across the river.  We drank beers on his boat but had to leave them at the dock since there is no alcohol in this all-Muslim village (unless you know what to ask for, hint hint).

We also hung out with our new BFF Tom who set us up with our transportation to Malaysia.  He is originally from Myanmar (Burma) and is he sweetest and most awesome person we have met so far.  He has such a young face, I kept calling him my baby brother until I realized he is actually 3 years older than me! I guess I'm the baby sister :)
We hung out with him all night eating our way through a new night market in the pouring rain.  It was fantastic.  Unfortunately because it was raining so much we only managed to get one picture!  Not to worry... I know we will definitely be seeing him again sometime.  We would like to travel through Myanmar with him, and maybe one day help him come to the US.

We spent time walking around a Buddhist monk community where they also run a school.  Young boys from the Krabi province come to be novice monks, live in a community, and get an education.

We also went to a pretty cool gallery where they were having a sort of Surrealism exhibit from Thai painters.  There were also little kids doing watercolor painting on the floor of the gallery.  So cute!

Here are some more photos of Krabi to enjoy....
