Back to Manila airport for our flight to Legaspi and we are whale shark bound. We meet an awesome Israeli couple, Ziv and Gila, who are going to see the whale sharks too. We end up reserving our boat for tomorrow morning with them and another couple from Holland, Edwin and Rosa. This is great because everyone is just as enthusiastic as us (which is a lot) and Ziv has underwater housing for his camera so we can get pictures from him!!!
We check into our sweet cottage right near the beach and sign up for a firefly river cruise with new friends Lauren and Matt. It's a fun time although they make us wear these crappy life vests for "safety" even though the water is smooth like ice. Oh well, they come in handy for propping up Matt's camera to take pictures of the fireflies (quite difficult because they are moving and it's very dark but Jon comes to the rescue with his photography wisdom and they get some pretty good pics). Later we go for our first night swim in Southeast Asia!
