The first two months of my trip are drawing to a close and so is my time (for now at least) in New South Wales. I thought I'd take a brief moment to sum up the travels so far, with a few statistics:

Number of kilometres travelled: about 2500.
Number of beds slept in: 16.
Number of hostels stayed in: 3.
Number of houses stayed in: 5.
Number of tents stayed in: 4.
Number of things lost: 7. (Includes: flashlight, jacket, two towels, bag that contains sleeping bag, comb).
Number of things intentionally left behind: too many to count.
Number of washing machines used: 9.
Number of dryers used: 2. (Australians rarely have 'em, as things dry in 30 minutes on the clothesline. Except when you're stuck with two weeks of riotous storms. Fortunately that was one of the places that did have a dryer.).
Number of private cars ridden in: 6.
Number of trains taken: 8.
Number of Greyhound busses taken: 5. (Number of breakdowns, 1).
Amount of money earned: $50.00
Amount of money spent: too much to count.

Things that I took that were really useful: sarong (useful as beach towel, curtain on bunk beds, skirt, pyjamas, general toweling of things, carrying things . . .), inflatable pillow, eye mask, sleep sheet, ziploc baggies.
Things that I took that were not so useful: small zipper locks, money belt, beach towel.

Now onwards to the West and other things!
