i only had a short cruise to egypt from cyprus but it was unforgettable. i went on an actual cruise ship (my first time!) and got to sit at fancy dinners with lots of british couples (most of the tourists in cyprus seem to be british) who probably were less than thrilled to find this somewhat scraggly american girl at their supper table (i was scraggly because i was living on a sailboat working as a deckhand). in just a couple days we visited the pyramids in giza, the cairo museum, had a lunch cruise on the nile, and of course visited a papyrus museum. what an amazing place, if i had to do it again i would just spend more time there. the only thing holding me back was my job on the sailboat in cyprus (my boss actually helped pay for the trip to egypt to apologize for leaving on business to the states for a week). thanks captain!!
