lovely, place...too bad we didnt give ourselves enough time to see very much. with only a week in this charming country we only got a taste of all it has to offer. but our lovely room overlooking the mekong river in vientiane, the scandanavian bakery (and the surprisingly european air about the place), the interesting markets selling what we believed to be meant for human consumption, the beautiful mountains, in vientiane--the water buffalo idly lingering as we floated by on the river in our inner tubes with giant bottles of chang beer made us want to come back to this quiet, intriguing country.
