I find that Songkran last year in Mae Sot was more gentle and fun loving than here--maybe it is impossible to celebrate in a big city the way one could in a small burg like Mae Sot.

The first of three days of Songkran I was stuck on the moat at sunset. Nothing was moving, with trucks carrying 5-10 Thais, buckets, and 32 gallon barrels full of water all around me.  Thank Buddha I didn't take the camera.

Anyway, today being day 3, I decided to try to be more festive.  Headed out around 10 AM, parked the motorcycle, and wandered, taking pics. Here they are.
