OPGH is a gem on Love Lane in Georgetown.  An old Chinese shophouse converted to a guest house with architecture intact, the OPGH is a bargain in a sea of expensive digs.

The A/C dorm rooms are quiet-in large part due to the wooden bunks (usually dorm bunks are aluminum and creak with the late nght arrival or one's dorm mates). The rate of 20 Ringgit ( about $6.50 US) is a steal. The breakfast is poor, but what can one expect at this rate?

Location is terrific, manager is a quirky Hokkien Chiniese guy that seems to believe that saving you money is just like saving HIM money, and the common area with DVD and satellite TV is most pleasant.

Penang is a great city, and the OPGH is a great place from which to enjoy it. WM says check it out.
